Help us build a world that understands aphantasia
The Aphantasia Foundation is a small, volunteer-run UK charitable association working to build understanding of aphantasia among the professionals people turn to, and to support people across the aphantasia spectrum. We are very new, and donations are what allow the Foundation to exist and to do this work.
Make a donation
We take donations through Zeffy, a platform that does not charge us. Zeffy is funded by optional extra contributions that donors can choose to add at checkout. If you add nothing, 100% of your donation goes to the Foundation.

Everyday running costs
Our website and domain, administration tools, printing and the other small costs of running a charity. So far, the people involved have paid these personally. Donations let the Foundation cover them, including reasonable volunteer expenses.
Becoming a registered charity
Data protection registration fees and the legal costs of converting to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), which is the step we are working toward.

Drafting practical guidance for teachers, clinicians and therapists, and reaching out to those already working in this space.

Research support
We want to support academic research into aphantasia, and we would like that to happen sooner rather than later. We are not yet in a position to fund any.

Connecting people with aphantasia so they know they are not alone and can share their experiences.
Who we are and how donations are used
The Aphantasia Foundation is an unincorporated charitable association in England and Wales, working toward registration as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). It is run entirely by volunteers. Nobody is paid a salary and no profit is made. Donations are pooled and used to run the Foundation and to advance our charitable objectives. Our governance documents are available on request.
